In the elementary section, we strive to support our students in their transition from play-based learning in KG to a more structured routine and approach in elementary. We support and provide equal learning opportunities to all our learners including students of determination and the English language learners (ELL).
Our curriculum is based on New York Common Core States Standards for English and Math, and the Next Generation Science Standards for Science (NGSS). The adoption of NGSS will help students develop innovation and engineering learning habits.
Our learning experiences are based on collaboration, inquiry, and innovation. We pay a special emphasis to literacy within the curriculum to perform better across all subjects and in international exams as CAT4, MAP, and TIMSS.
In the elementary section, we design opportunities that build independence, resilience, growth mindset, and leadership within our students inside and outside the classroom environment. Our elementary students started an organic garden project, painted the elementary Humpty Dumpty reading wall, and planted their own Makerspace where innovation takes place around the clock.
They also develop their leadership skills through various committees inspired by the UAE National Agenda as the Elementary Rangers, Arabic Scholars, and Happiness Ambassadors.
In the elementary section, we instill in our student’s important values and skills that will help them become global life-long learners as:
- positivity and happiness
- confidence and resilience
- caring and compassion
With all these opportunities, we are certain that our elementary students will be ready to enter the secondary school, confident in their abilities as respectful global citizens and responsible innovative leaders who are ready to make a difference in their communities.
